Privacy policy
What we collect, and what we don't.
Last updated: May 24, 2026. Questions: privacy@wellconsensus.com
The short version
Wellness Consensus is a read-only editorial site. We don't have accounts, sign-up forms, or a checkout. The only data we collect is anonymous analytics about how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. We don't sell that data to anyone.
What we collect
We use PostHog for analytics. When you visit the site, PostHog records:
- Anonymous identifiers (a randomly-generated visitor ID stored in a cookie)
- Pages you viewed and how long you stayed
- Clicks, scrolls, and other interactions with the page
- Your approximate location (country/region, from your IP — we don't store the full IP)
- Your browser, device type, and operating system
- The referring page or campaign that sent you here (e.g. utm_source if you arrived from an ad)
- Session replays — anonymized recordings of mouse movements and clicks, used to debug usability issues. These do not include any sensitive information because the site has no inputs to fill in.
We also use, or expect to use, Meta Pixel (Facebook) and Google Tag (Google Analytics + Google Ads conversion tracking) so we can measure whether our ads work. These tools place their own cookies and send similar data (pages viewed, clicks, country) to Meta and Google, respectively.
When you click one of our affiliate links to Amazon, Amazon places its own cookies to track whether your visit results in a purchase. We don't see what you buy — Amazon just tells us a commission was earned. See Amazon's privacy notice for what they do.
What we don't collect
- Your name, email, phone number, or address — we have no forms to give them in
- Account passwords — there are no accounts
- Payment info — there's nothing to buy directly from us
- Any health information you might be researching here
How long we keep it
Analytics events: 1 year. Session replays: 30 days. Visitor cookie: until you clear your browser data.
Your rights
If you live in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have the right to:
- Ask what data we have on you (the answer will be "an anonymous visitor ID and the pages you viewed")
- Ask us to delete it
- Opt out of ad-personalization tracking
To exercise any of these: email privacy@wellconsensus.com. You can also block cookies and analytics in your browser settings, or use a privacy extension like uBlock Origin — that's the fastest way to opt out without contacting us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the home page for at least 30 days.
